TommyFit's hockey-specific strength and conditioning programs are tailored to the time of year (in-season and off-season) and include both on-ice and off-ice (dry land) training.
TommyFit offers both on-ice and off-ice (dry land) training summer hockey camps.
PHASE 1 - Base Building (8 weeks, Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday)
During Phase 1, players focus heavily on gaining overall strength by utilizing hockey-specific weight, core and aerobic training.
PHASE 2 - Sport Specific (6 weeks, Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday)
During Phase 2, players focus heavily on power and explosiveness. Within this 6 week program, players also take part in a 4 week Speed and Agility Camp. The S/A Camp focuses on foot speed, lateral movement and balance.
PHASE 3 - Camp Preparation (6 weeks, Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday)
Phase 3 focuses on tapering down and refueling the body. This stage allows the player to enter training camp fully energized.
The on-ice program focuses heavily on skating and overall individual technical skills. In addition to individual skills, the program also instructs players on team tactics and team play systems. All practices are structured towards high intensity and maintain a safe environment for participants at all times.
Players skate two times per week for the duration of the program.

TommyFit hockey development programs focuses on the individual player. We identify individual needs and develop individualized training programs throughout the season. Taking into account the athlete's skill level, talent, position, development, age, strengths, weaknesses, and knowledge, we design a training schedule that's unique to a player. Sports nutrition education is also provided to all athletes training with Tommyfit.
